Hallelujah! One of the straps has been found buried in some camping supplies. Of course, it's now almost 11pm so no running since I have to go to the dentists early tomorrow, but it works (as my heart now reads 92 bpm from this 'frantic' typing. Or not.) Ooh. I just saw 83. I wonder what effect altitude has on heart rate after a year and a half?

I am a numbers geek too. I absolutely LOVE my Polar S150 HRM. It also does a bunch of bike specific functions as well as all of the regular heart stuff. So I can mount it on my bike along with my Cateye Astrale 8 and have every piece of information I could ever need. What? I am supposed to be watching the road???

a heart rate monitor is the one piece of equipment that i still don't have. i don't really know why. i've asked for one as a gift at every holiday, but i've never got one. i think my wife is hoping that if i don't monitor my heart rate, then i'll just push it too far and she can collect the life insurance. i'm just gonna go buy one...

This just happened to me - I hate going to workout without the HRM. Even though I can tell the exertion level, I still like the confirmation.
